Thursday 15th March - 11am    A talk/workshop with the butterfly trust and volunteers at the coffee morning.  Volunteer registration.
 
Monday 26th March       Dulverton Heritage Centre and Model Railway opens for the season.  
 
A brand new and exciting exhibition on some of Exmoor’s most special butterflies and focusing on Heath Fritillary and High Brown Fritillary, two of our rarest butterflies.  Please see here for latest opening times.

A talk by Exmoor Pony Chronicler, Sue Baker.
     
Sue Baker has been collecting local stories and memories about Exmoor ponies for  over 40 years. Whether chatting in local hostelries or leaning on farm gates on pony inspection days, she became an avid listener and gradually chronicled the ponies' place in the culture of Exmoor. Sue will be telling some of her favourite tales from this large collection and also showing a selection of the old photographs she has gathered together over the years - a glimpse of the past when the ponies were involved in almost every aspect of Exmoor life.

Wednesday 30th May - Talk at Dulverton Heritage Centre on “Blackmore at Blundell's” (and other links of the School with Exmoor) by Mike Sampson, Archivist at Blundell’s School.  The talk will focus on R D Blackmore’s time at the School and the prevailing conditions, S.H. Burton's time as a Master there and other surprising connections between Blundell's and Exmoor. Admission: £3.00 per person.
Thursday 31st May at 3pm – A talk on the Fascinating Lives of Exmoor's Butterflies and Moths
Butterfly expert, Megan Lowe will be speaking about the fascinating world of butterflies, moths, and their caterpillars with a little help from some live specimens. Learn about the fussiest butterflies on Exmoor, the people trying to save them, and what we can all do to make the future brighter for butterflies. Open to all, families very welcome.   Admission: £3.00 per person.

Monday 23rd July at 3pm - Talk by the Dulverton Weir and Leat Trust
The heritage of Dulverton Urban Watermill Landscape (weir, mill leat and watermill system) has been recognised by academics as "one of the best preserved Medieval Urban Watermill Landscapes in England". The system has national heritage importance because it is largely intact, although it is urgently in need of restoration and conservation. Come and learn about this unique and exciting project which will conserve and manage the heritage, archaeology and wildlife over the next few years.

Edge of Exmoor Artisans Group featuring paintings, ceramics and jewellery.
Sunday 2nd December 2018 – Festive event 2pm – 6pm.  The model railway will be opening and running and we have a “unique, not to be missed” festive sale in the Gallery.    Please be sure to pop in and pay us a visit!
